Many agencies, consultancies and service providers bill in quarter or half hours. If you track to the minute, you have to recalculate everything before invoicing – or round by gut feeling. With Jomawo's time rounding you define the rules once: round the start time down, up or keep it exact, do the same for the end time – on a 15, 30 or 60 minute grid.

Rounding is applied where it matters: in reports and timesheet exports. Your original tracked times stay stored unchanged, so you can adjust or disable the rules at any time. Individual projects can use a different grid if needed, and the first-entry-per-day rule automatically covers minimum charges – such as half an hour per assignment.

Transparency builds trust: on request Jomawo marks rounded entries in the PDF timesheet, and the export dialog lets you decide for every export whether rounding is applied. Because the rules are set centrally by an admin, the whole team bills consistently.

Time rounding – explained briefly

No. Jomawo stores every entry to the minute. Rounding is only applied in reports and exports – you can change or disable the rules at any time without losing data.

First, the start time is rounded down or up to the selected grid (or kept exact). Then the duration from the rounded start is rounded – which results in the end time. Example with a 15-minute grid, start rounded down and end rounded up: 08:07–10:52 becomes 08:00–11:00.

Yes. On the project you can override the grid and the minimum duration for the first entry per day. Without its own value, the project inherits the global setting.

The first entry per team member, project and day is extended to at least the selected duration (15, 30 or 60 minutes) – handy for minimum charges, for example on short support calls.

If you enable “Show rounding transparently”, rounded entries are marked “Rounded” in the PDF; the CSV export contains a dedicated column. You can also switch rounding on or off for each individual export.
